How to fit exercise into your schedule.
Should you eat before exercise or not?
If you are about to play a game of sport or going to the gym for a workout you should try to eat two hours before you go. This is because you have not digested the food properly and it will sit in your stomach and cause you to feel unwell.
However always bring a bottle of water with you to keep you hydrated.
Think about it, why don't you have time to exercise? Do you have to much homework? Are you too tired? Or do you just not want to exercise - so you don't make time for it?
Here is how to change that.
Without realising you probably exercise quite a lot during the week.
[Example]
Monday - you have PE at school, it goes for one hour.
Ta-da! You all ready have done over the recommended half an hour of exercise a day
Tuesday - you don't have time because you have a music lesson after school.
On days like today - try walking to and from school, if possible, or take your dog for a walk, or walk or job to the post-box post mums letter that has been sitting on the bench for a week or you could walk to the milk-bar and buy the much needed milk and bread. These are all quick and simple things that would make a difference.
Wednesday - today you have school sport after school.
This is a good source of exercise, that most kids and teenagers do every week.
So why don't you go for a run around the park or kick the footy with some friends or siblings, or any other form of fun exercise you can think of.
Friday - you have sport training
Sometimes, the way it goes is, training is harder than the game/competition itself. So make sure - when you have sport training to push yourself as hard as you can to a) get the extra practice and b) get fitter!
So that is a typical [made-up] schedule, but it include most things teenagers and some children would have in their school week - sport training, once or twice a week, inter-school sport once a week, or twice depending on how many sports you play, and class PE.
