SLEEP

Waking up in the middle of the night

To stop yourself waking up in the middle make sure you don't have any caffine within an hour before you go to bed. It is also essential you don't eat at least an hour before you go to sleep. Make sure you don't watch TV and then go straight to bed because it will keep you awake for longer and cause you to sleep lightly.
If you do wake up in the middle of the night make sure you don't get out of bed because it will only wake your body up more.

How many hours sleep do we need?
The experts say that adolescents need 8 - 9 hours of sleep a night. Children need 10 hours and adults need around 8 hours. But with early school start time, inability to fall asleep until late at night, social life and homework, it is very hard to get the recommended sleep time. Maybe you should consider altering your schedule so you can get something's done earlier or shift you homework and other commitments so you don't have all of your activities and the bulk of your homework that needs doing on one specific day. This is so your sleep patterns are regular.
